Description

A delicious and healthy high-protein pide filled with creamy skyr and feta, perfect for gatherings or a quick lunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g Dinkelmehl (or wheat flour)
  • 200g Skyr (or Greek yogurt)
  • 150g Feta cheese (crumbled)
  • 300ml water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 packet yeast
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. Mix the spelt flour, yeast, salt, and water in a large bowl until a homogeneous dough forms.
  3. Let the dough rest for about 10 minutes to activate the yeast.
  4. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to the desired thickness.
  5. Spread the skyr evenly on the rolled-out dough and sprinkle with crumbled feta.
  6. Fold the edges of the dough over the filling to seal it.
  7. Bake the pide on a baking tray for about 20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Drizzle with olive oil after baking and serve warm.

Notes

You can prepare the dough a day in advance and let it rest in the fridge. For air-fryer users, set the temperature to 180°C and bake for about 10-12 minutes.
