Description
A delicious Hawaiian snack featuring sticky rice and crispy Spam wrapped in nori, perfect for picnics or parties.
Ingredients

- 1 can Spam
- 2 cups sushi rice
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Nori sheets
- Soy sauce (optional)
- Sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the sushi rice according to the package instructions. Allow it to cool slightly.
- Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl. Stir this into the warm rice until evenly coated.
- Slice spam into even slices and fry in a pan over medium heat until golden brown and crispy.
- Place a sheet of nori on a flat surface or sushi mat.
- Spread a layer of rice on the nori and flatten it slightly.
- Add a slice of spam on top of the rice.
- Top with another thin layer of rice and press down gently.
- Roll the nori carefully from the edge with rice, using the mat for support, and press lightly.
- Cut the roll into 2-3 cm pieces and serve with soy sauce and optional sesame seeds.
Notes
Prepare musubi in advance and refrigerate. Will stay fresh for up to 3 days.
